Chapter 3: Dedicated Short-Range Communications (DSRC) • Explain DSRC to a non-technical person • List some of the common DSRC safety messages • Name 3 safety applications which use DSRC Chapter 4: Infrastructure – Sensors, Signs, and Roadside Units • Identify various roadside devices • Explain what kinds of data are collected Chapter 5: Autonomous Vehicles • Describe 3 sensors used by autonomous vehicles. • Diagram the relationship between autonomous vehicles and ITS infrastructure. • Explain the current state of autonomous vehicle regulation.
